Maghdouche is one of the Lebanese villages of Sidon District in the South Governorate.
It is a town in the South Lebanon Governorate / Zahrani District. It is located 50 km south of Beirut and 8 km southeast of Sidon. It is also 3 kilometers from the Mediterranean region and sits on a hill overlooking Sidon, ranging from 200 to 229 meters above sea level.
The population of the town of Maghdouche is about 9,000 people, and there are 5,200 registered voters on the disqualification lists. This is the sectarian distribution of the population: Roman Catholic: 95% Minorities: 5%
All kinds of agriculture are active in Maghdoucheh, especially olives, grapes and citrus fruits
In Maghdouche, there is a famous statue of the Virgin, and there is a miraculous cave in which the Virgin was waiting for Christ when he was preaching throughout Sidon. A large cathedral is currently being built in the name of Our Lady of Mantara in the town of Maghdouche, built in the Byzantine style.
