Ghazieh is one of the Lebanese villages of Sidon District in the South Governorate. It is 4 km from Sidon. It is a suburb of the southern city of Sidon, which took its name after the Islamic conquest of the Levant coast about a century and a half, due to the descent of the Muhaddith Hisham bin Al-Ghaz bin Rabia bin Amr bin Auf bin Zuhair, Abi Abdullah and it was said Abu Al-Abbas Al-Jarashi Al-Dimashqi Al-Sidawi in it, and then inhabited by his descendants after his death The year 159 AH and R mentioned its name among the villages of the Emirate of Sidon at the time of the Crusades under the name GAZIA.
