Al-Kekha Mosque is located near Al-Qazzaz Café in old Sidon. It was built by Mustafa Katkhuda in 1624 AD. This mosque was known as the Katkhuda Mosque, but due to the difficulty of pronouncing the word it was distorted into the Kikhia, and the mosque became known as the Kikhia Mosque. Until now, it is not known when the mosque was built because there is no painting or inscription inside it indicating the time of its construction. The mosque was famous for its sundial that adorned its entrance from the inside, and its minbar is made of marble, as well as a pool of water. This beautiful huge mosque was dominated by the Turkish style, and the mosque consists of three sections, the sanctuary, which is distinguished by its scenic beauty, in addition to the minbar made of pure white marble, which gives the sanctuary a radiant luster. for ablution. In addition to the presence of five rooms to the western side of the mosque, and these rooms were designated to receive dervishes, passers-by and students of knowledge. Between these rooms there is a domed room known as the zawiya al-Shadhili, where the dhikr circles were held.
