The Bab Al-Saray Mosque is located several meters from Bab Saray Al Maan, within the old city of Sidon. This mosque was formerly known as the Al-Muhtasib Mosque, as it was stated in a plaque above the northern entrance of the mosque that: The poor to God Almighty, the son of the scholar Mawlana Sheikh Al-Islam, Abu Ishaq, Ibrahim bin Al-Din, late Ramadan 598 AH. The mosque consists of a large sanctuary, topped by a pulpit, most of which are made of wood, and at the top of the eastern part of the sanctuary there is a beautiful dome. As for the southern part of the sanctuary, it was outside the sanctuary area, but it followed the sanctuary, after the repairs that took place on the mosque in 1964 AD. In addition to the courtyard of the mosque, its area is a quarter of the area of ​​the sanctuary, and it is characterized by two ancient pillars that stand in the middle of it. The mosque has two entrances: a western entrance on the side of Bab Al-Saray Square, which leads directly to the Haram. And a northern entrance, leading to the courtyard of the mosque.

يقع مسجد باب السراي على بعد عدة أمتار من باب سراي آل معن، داخل مدينة صيدا القديمة. كان يعرف هذا الجامع سابقًا باسم جامع المحتسب، حيث جاء في لوحة أعلى مدخل المسجد الشمالي ما يلي: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، أنشأ هذا الجامع المبارك، العلامة الفقير إلى الله تعالى، الشيخ الإمام، عمدة الطالبيين، مولانا، شيخ أبو اليمن، ابن العبد الفقير إلى الله تعالى، ابن العلامة مولانا شيخ الإسلام، أبي إسحق، إبراهيم بن ...الدين أواخر رمضان 598 ه. يتألف المسجد من حرم واسع المساحة، يتصدره منبر معظم أقسامه من الخشب، وفي أعلى القسم الشرقي من الحرم يوجد قبة جميلة الشكل. أما القسم الجنوبي من الحرم كان خارج منطقة الحرم، لكنه اتبع الحرم، بعد الإصلاحات التي جرت على المسجد عام 1964م. بالاضافة الى صحن المسجد مساحته هي ربع مساحة الحرم ويمتاز بعامودين أثريين ينتصبان في وسطه. وللمسجد مدخلان: مدخل غربي من جهة ساحة باب السراي، يفضي مباشرة إلى الحرم. ومدخل شمالي، يؤدي إلى صحن المسجد.
